You can select your NIMCET exam centres while filling the NIMCET application form. These exam centres are going to be assigned based on your preference order and availability. Check your allotted exam centre on the NIMCET admit card.

The NIMCET application fee must be paid ONLINE ONLY via the NIMCET website. Please note that this online fee payment is non-refundable.

No, you do not need to go beyond what is mentioned in the NIMCET syllabus and pressurise yourself for no reason. The updated NIMCET syllabus is extensive; focus only on the topics listed there.

Yes, extra sheets are provided to the NIMCET candidates for rough work or calculations. Keep in mind that you would need to submit those rough sheets at the end of the exam to the invigilators.

No, you do not need to attempt all questions of the NIMCET. If you are not confident, do not answer it. Please note there is negative marking for each incorrect answer.

Yes, any Mathematics or Statistics degree at the UG-level will be considered for NIMCET. Students possessing degrees like Discrete Mathematics, Discrete Structures, Business Mathematics, Probability, Statistics for Business Economics, etc., are eligible to apply for the NIMCET.

Yes, you can challenge the provisional NIMCET answer key. Here's how-
- Select the question you want to challenge
- Submit proof/s that your answer is correct
There is a fee of Rs. 500 per question. You CAN'T challenge the answer key after result announcement.

The provisional NIMCET 2026 answer key will be tentatively released in the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2026. Candidates can check the answer key at nimcet.admissions.nic.in.
