No, you do not need to attempt all questions of the NIMCET. If you are not confident, do not answer it. Please note there is negative marking for each incorrect answer. 

Yes, you can challenge the provisional NIMCET answer key. Here's how-

• Select the question you want to challenge
• Submit proof/s that your answer is correct

There is a fee of Rs. 500 per question. You CAN'T challenge the answer key after result announcement.

The provisional NIMCET 2027 answer key will be released in June 2027. Candidates could check the answer key from its official website nimcet.admissions.nic.in. 

Yes, NIMCET 2025 results have been declared, and the window for checking the obtained scores is closed. In case yoy could not make it to the list, you can apply for the NIMCET 2026. The exam is expected to be conducted in the 1st or 2nd week of June 2026.

Yes, candidates can object to NIMCET provisional answer key by paying a prescribed fee till the last date.

You must verify all your documents during NIMCET counselling. You must also bring the original documents at the time of joining. The documents required for NIMCET Counselling are listed below:

• NIMCET Admit Card
• NIMCET Rank Card
• Date of Birth Proof (10th marksheet)
• 10th & 12th marksheets and passing certificates
• Caste certificate (if applicable)

Yes. According to NIMCET information brochure, for each correct answer, you will get full marks, and for each incorrect answer, there is a 25% deduction. Here is how it goes

Mathematics:

• Correct answer: +12
• Incorrect answer: -3

Computer Awareness, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning

• Correct answer: +6
• Incorrect answer: -1.5

General English

• Correct answer: +4
• Incorrect answer: -1

Note:

• No deduction for no answer.
• Choosing multiple answers to a question will result in negative marking. 
• Please don't attempt the question if you don't know the answer. 

No, you are not allowed to choose the date and time of the NIMCET counselling. The exam-conducting body finalises the counselling schedule. You would need to register online and participate in the NIMCET counselling process by paying the fee and filling out your choices. Qualified candidates eligible to participate in the counselling will be declared qualified based on their NIMCET results.
