Hey,  Both degree and Diploma are good, but they serve different purpose, which one is better depends on you goal.Degree is better for long term career, higher posts, and future studies.Diploma is better if you want quick skills, low cost and early employment.But I would suggest if you can afford time and money degree is usually the better option.

NIMCET test will be conducted with single paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering the following subjects.

  • Mathematics
  • Computer Awareness
  • English Language
  • Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning 

The exam lasts 2 whole hours and has a total marks of 1000. Students must write their answers only in English with questions being MCQs.

Candidates securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in: 

  • Any UG programme of a minimum of three years with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects
    OR
  • BCA/B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognised University/Institution are eligible to appear for NIMCET.

No, one month is not sufficient for NIMCET preparation. You would need to study an extensive syllabus that would need time as well as a lot of effort. However, if you are a BCA student that your college education might help you in your preparation, since the topics of NIMCET and BCA are similar, you would need to brush up on your knowledge. It is recommended to solve previous year NIMCET question papers to make yourself acquainted with the NIMCET exam.

No. Since you couldn't complete the process, your application will not be accepted. The NIMCET application process will only complete after you have paid the application fee. Make sure that you do not miss any of the required steps of the application process, be it payment of fee or uploading of documents.

The eligibility criteria for NIMCET are as follows -

Nationality

Must be an Indian citizen

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT), BCA, B.Tech/B.E., or any equivalent degree with Mathematics/Statistics as a subject at 10+2 or graduation level

Minimum Marks

At least 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA  (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates)

Final Year Students

Eligible to apply, but must provide proof of passing before admission
