Percentile requirement for general category is generally high then other category for general it is 97 recommended reserved category might have a chance to slightly low difference it also depends on specific category and state quota u can also check on official site on JOSSA cutoff and ranked addmission for NIT jamshedpur

If you belong to the General AI category, the minimum cutoff required was 444 in NIMCET during the Round 1 cutoff list. NIMCET is the accepting exam for NIT Jamshedpur admission to the MCA course. Please note that the cutoff ranks vary for different rounds and categories. For the OBC category students, the minimum cutoff rank required was 519 under the AII India quota. For other categories, the minimum cutoff ranks required during the NIMCET Round 1 cutoff list are as follows:

NIT Jamshedpur cutoff 2025 has been released for the third round. For candidates seeking admission to the college via JEE Main, it is neccessary to obtain a rank as per the category-wise cutoff list. The cutoff among the General AI category, the cutoff ranks varied between 8130 and 43082. Therefore, candidates belonging to the General AI category must obtain a score of 43082 or less to get admission to the college.

Yes, it is possible to get admission to NIT Jamshedpur with a rank of 40000 in JEE Mains. The institute accepts JEE Main scores for admission to BTech specialisations. NIT Jamshedpur JEE Main cutoff 2025 among the General AI category was between the range of 8130 and 43082. As per the cutoff range, it is evident that getting admission at 40,000 rank is possible. For the General OBC AI category candidates, the closing ranks in the third round varied between 2905 and 14243. Therefore, for OBC AI category candidates, getting admission at 40,000 rank is not possible.

NIT Jamshedpur cutoff 2025 has been released for the round 1. The cutoff has been released for admission to BTech specialisations, on the basis of JEE Main scores. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India and Home State quotas. Among the General AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 7855 and 40443. The most desired specialisation among the General AI category candidates was BTech in CSE.

To get admission to NIT Jamshedpur, candidate must have a rank as per the cutoff list according to the category they belong to. The cutoff was released for MSc in Physics, MSc in Mathematics and MSc in Chemistry. Among the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff was between 1088 and 1442. Therefore, to get admission into the college through CCMN irrespective of the branch, candidate must have a rank of 1442 or less. The branch-wise cutoff has been given in the table below:

You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
