Looking at your merit, it seems unlikely that you would get any branch in NIT KURUKSHETRA. Moreover, you can try visiting the past year cutoffs of all the NIT's but to be true, with this rank and this category you would not get into a good branch at a good NIT. Nevertheless you must try g

1. MNNIT Allahabad
2. MNIT Jaipur
3. NIT Kurukshetra.

Yes, it is right to pursue a CS branch in any IIIT rather than a core branch in DTU/NSUT/NIT until and unless you are interested in any of the core branches as I am more interested in Industrial engineering so I've chosen it over any other branch.
