- Certificate of sponsorship (if applicable)
- No objection certificate from parent employer

No, students cannot get direct admission to NIT Mizoram. The admissions are done on the basis of national-level entrance exams. JEE Mains, GATE, UGC NET etc. are some of the entrance tests accepted by the institute.

Yes,it is worth taking over any of the private institutions or state government colleges. Most of the people are either from North India or from South India,dominated by Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal including almost all of the Indian states and UTs. NIT Mizoram BTech cutoff 2025 for the OBC AI category ranged from 10144 in the first round to 118197 in the last round. For the OBC HS quota, the cutoff was only released for the BTech CSE course. The cutoff in the first and last round was 349722.

All the latest updates regarding NIT Mizoram admissions are as follows:
- The XAT 2026 registration window is now closed for MBA/PGDM courses, and the exam will be held on Jan 4, 2026.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/Mtech and PhD courses will be conducted from Feb 7, 2026 to Feb 8, 2026, and then from Feb 14, 2026 to Feb 15, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses will tentatively be conducted between Jan 21 and Jan 30, 2026.
