National Institute of Technology Nagaland and National Institute of Technology Meghalaya are the two prominent colleges for MSc admissions. Both colleges accept IIT JAM scores, followed by CCMN counselling for MSc admission. NIT Nagaland CCMN cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1, wherein the closing rank for MSc in Physics was 1835 for the General AI quota. Similarly, for NIT Meghalaya, the cutoff rank stood at 1686.

NIT Nagaland offers admission to the MSc courses based on the IIT JAM entrance exam, followed by the CCMN counselling process. For 2025 admission, the Round 1 closing ranks varied between 1835 and 1858 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Specialisation with the lowest cutoff rank of 1835 was M.Sc. in Physics. For other specialisations along with their GATE CCMN first-round closing ranks, check out the table provided below:

You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.

The total seat intake of the M.Tech at NIT Nagaland is 66. The seats are distributed among the four specialisations. As per the seat allocation guidelines, candidates must participate in the CCMT counselling for M.Tech seat allocation. However, if candidates fail to secure seats via the counselling they can opt for the institute mode, which required students to apply vis the NIT Nagaland's official website and appear for the entrance exam.

JEE Main exam has three subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Question paper of JEE Main is prepared with questions from all the three subjects with equal weightage of 33%. A total of 90 questions are asked in the exam, 30 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The syllabus of JEE Mains for all three subjects is as per the CBSE/NCERT textbook of class 11 and 12. Candidates can check the syllabus from the official website of JEE Main or from the Shiksha page.
