Candidates are required to bring the following documents at the time of written examination and/or interview in original for verification for NIT Surathkal course admissions. Furthermore, the candidate have to send the self-attested hard copies with the application form and scan-copy through email:
- Valid photo ID proof
- Class 10 & Class 12 mark sheets
- Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheet (if applicable)

If a student meets the minimum eligibility for NIT Surathkal admissions, then aspirants can go ahead by completing the application process. For admission to popular courses such as BTech, MTech, and MSc, candidates may have to apply on the official website of the accepting exams, such as JEE Main, GATE, and IIT JAM, respectively. Further, for admission to MBA course, are done through CAT/MAT/GATE score, where the shortlisted candidates have to appear for the PI round.

No, admissions at NIT Surathkal are only through national-level entrance exams, such as JEE Mains, GATE, CAT etc. Apart from this, students need to meet the last educational qualification s per course requirement.
