NIT Surathkal grants admission to two MSc courses based on candidates' performance in the IIT JAM entrance exam, followed by the CCMN counselling process. For 2025 admission, the Round 1 closing ranks varied between 868 and 920 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Of all the MSc specialisations, the one with the lowest cutoff rank of 868 was the MSc in Chemistry. You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
