NIT Trichy will release 7-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:
The JEE Main score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course
Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 1147 and closing rank was 1509 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 2086 and 2086. Admission to Computer Science Engineering in NIT Trichy is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

As per NIT Trichy cutoff 2023 forJEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 1509 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 2086 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The aspirants with a BE/BTech degree with at least 60% aggregate can apply for M.Tech at NIT Trichy. For admission to MTech, candidates must have a valid score of GATE, which shall be equal to or higher than the cutoff. Selected candidates further are called for CCMT Counselling. Interested candidates must apply for the GATE exam and counselling within the due date.

As per the NIT Trichy MBA brochure, the institute and hostel fees for the Open and other category students is INR 4.35 Lacs approximately. The institute and hostel charges for SC/ST category are INR 3 Lacs approximately. The tuition fee for a two-year MBA course as per unofficial sources is INR 1.4 lakh. NIT Trichy does not conduct any in-house entrance test. It grant admission to the courses on the basis of merit in national-level examinations. The accepted entrance examinations are JEE Main, GATE, IIT JAM, CAT, and NIMCET. Only the candidates with a valid score in the accepted exams as per the applied course are admitted.

IIIT Bangalore and NIT Trichy both offer admission to the M.Tech course on the basis of a valid GATE score, followed by a GATE Counselling process. Talking about the 2023 last-round cutoff, the closing rank for M.Tech in CSE was 480 at IIIT Bangalore. For NIT Trichy, the last round closing score was 637 for the same course and specialisation. Analysing the last round cutoff data, IIIT Bangalore was more competitive for M.Tech in the CSE course than NIT Trichy.
