NIT Trichy - National Institute of Technology

To join a three-year MCA course at NIT Trichy, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements of the course as stated on the official website of NIT. To pursue this full-time PG-level course at NIT Trichy, candidates are required to pass graduation with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics as one of the subjects. Candidates must have obtained minimum 60% aggregate in the final examination of graduation. Candidates who are appearing for the final examinations of graduation are also eligible to apply. 

NIT Trichy is not a very expensive university as it is a government university so the fee is not very high. NIT Trichy will release 7-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

The JEE Main score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 1147 and closing rank was 1509 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 2086 and 2086. Admission to Computer Science Engineering in NIT Trichy is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

The total tuition fee for MTech at NIT Trichy is between INR 1.4 Lacs and INR 3.6 lakh. The course fee includes other components such as annual examination fee, one-time admission fee and alumni fee. Selected students have to pay some part of fees at the time of admission to confirm their seats. 

The aspirants with a BE/BTech degree with at least 60% aggregate can apply for M.Tech at NIT Trichy. For admission to MTech, candidates must have a valid score of GATE, which shall be equal to or higher than the cutoff. Selected candidates further are called for CCMT Counselling. Interested candidates must apply for the GATE exam and counselling within the due date.
