Hello Aamna, Currently, different states have different rules for admissions in Optometry. In few states like Gujarat and WestBengal a common entrance test has to be passed for optometry. Other states will have admissions based on your 12th Science grades. But the university will have there own entrance for admissions. As I see that you are from Hyderabad, the colleges in Hyderabad are
University of Hyderabad : they provide an Integrated Master's in Optometry which is a 5 years course

Okay, but you have to clear the B.Sc. (optometry) entrances. Go through the AIIMS Delhi homepage. Click on academics course, you will get all the information regarding the government seat of optometry. All private university done there special entrance for there university.

For optometry various examination are held,Go through the AIIMS Delhi website, you will get all the information regarding optometry, the entrances are held in The months of April - June.

You will have to enroll to get admission anywhere. Go to college and enroll first or talk to the management about vacant seats in any quota. There are usually some self-financed seats available.
