PU-MET exam is conducted in the paper-based test mode. The exam is conducted for 2 hours or 120 minutes. The exam has six sections and 200 questions. Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Background: Students must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as their main subjects.

Entrance Exams: Admission is typically based on performance in entrance exams such as JEE Main or the Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PUCET).

Candidate must have passed Bachelors/ Masters Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45% aggregate from Panjab University or any other University recognised by Bar Council of India and Panjab University.

 Panjab University BSc admission is entrance-based. The applicants only have to pass Class 12 with relevant subjects to be eligibile for admission. The final selection is based on the entrance exam score. Hence, candidates scoring less than 50% in Class 12 are eligible to apply for the course. But, they will have to clear the qualifying exam cut-off. In case someone fails to secure a seat at Panjab University for BSc, they can still pursue BSc at other colleges/universities offering the course. Candidates who have either passed Class 12 examination or BCom Part- I (old scheme) of Panjab University with at least 45% aggregate or who have passed the Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate or any other equivalent examination are eligible to apply for BCom admission at Panjab University. Hence, a candidate scoring less than 50% in Class 12 is not eligible to apply for BCom at Panjab University. Such candidates can go for other universities and colleges offering a BCom.
