NTA has conducted the UGC NET exam in 82 subjects this year. As per the exam guidelines, you can appear for the UGC NET exam in the subject in which you have done the post-graduation or related to that. As you said you have completed Masters' in Child Psychology, so you can apply for the exam with Psychology subject. Before appearing for the UGC NET exam must check out that you eligible or not for the exam. Candidates should have Master's degree to appear for the NET exam with minimum 55% aggregate marks if they belong to General category or minimum 50% aggregate marks if they are from OBC/SC/ST/PwD category. If you want to appear for NET JRF exam then you also have to follow the age criteria i.e. your age must not exceed 30 years. For reserved categories aspirants get the relaxation of 5 years.
