There is no any educational year instead its academic year which starts from July or august of each year as per university. There is no any fixed timings for Ph.D admissions which is applicable to every university or educational institutes. Some university takes Ph.D twice a year in June-July or Dec-Jan sessions respectively. But most of the institutes takes admission only once which may be with the rest of the courses or may be separate and little bit late. Hope this will helps you. Good Luck.

Doctorate degree is given to those who have completed their Ph.D in any particular field. It is also given to those who are research scholars and have an approved thesis. In the field of engineering, B.Tech and then M.Tech would qualify one to be a research scholar.
