Students from the European Union starting courses in England in the 2020/21 academic year will continue to be eligible for home fee status. This announcement allows the University of Cambridge to confirm that the fee for postgraduate EU students who will start their studies in 2019 or 2020, will be at the applicable Home/EU rate for the duration of their course.

Most of the IITs now offer Direct Phd as well as Phd after your masters. For direct Phd: After completing your Bachelors degree in relevant field you are required to appear a National Level Competitive Exam (GATE, JAM, CSIR etc). with 75% marks in bachelors or a CGPA of 7.5 or above. Admission After Master's degree in Engineering/Technology (ME/MS/MTech) with minimum 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 or equivalent. Master's degree in science (MSc) with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 or equivalent with NET (CSIR/UGC) or GATE score.

The M.Sc-Ph.D dual degree in Operations Research is an integrated doctoral programme, for those interested in a research oriented career. The programme is open for students with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Statistics, and interested in research in engineering / interdisciplinary areas. The academic programme leading to the M.Sc-Ph.D dual degree involves foundation courses, advanced courses and research work. The candidate will be awarded both the M.Sc and Ph.D degrees simultaneously on successful completion of the program.
