Yes, there are merit-based scholarships in various colleges. There are need based scholarships especially for economically weaker sections students. You can apply for Maharashtra state government scholarships for SC, ST, OBC and minority category students. This can significantly reduce the course cost.

Yes, but it depends on whether you are applying to a government college or a private college. Several private physiotherapy colleges in Pune accept direct admission based on Class 12 marks, though most government colleges require NEET scores. Candidates must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and secured at least 50% aggregate marks.

Except for KGMU, most of the top physiotherapy colleges in Lucknow, whether government or private, have separate hostel facilities for male and female students, within or near the campus. Private colleges like Era University and Integral University also have hostels. Hostel availability, fees should be confirmed from the college directly at the time of admission.

Currently, NEET is not compulsory for BPT admission in most colleges in Lucknow. However, from 2027 onward, NEET UG will be compulsory for physiotherapy admissions, so students looking to apply in the next few years need to be aware of the same and plan accordingly.

For government colleges like SGPGIMS and KGMU, admission is through the Common Paramedical Entrance Test (CPET) conducted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow.

Whereas, for private colleges like Era University conduct their own written entrance test followed by a personal interview. Some colleges also accept merit based on Class 12 board marks.
