Getting selected for MS at Polimi can be difficult because of it's low acceptance rate but it is not impossible. Indian applicants are required to meet the entry requirements which are given below - 

  • A strong academic record (typically a minimum of 70% (a GPA of 7.0 on a 10)
  • Minimum scores in English proficiency tests like IELTS (6.0+), TOEFL (78 or higher)
  • B1 in Italian language (If required)
  • A statement of purpose
  • Letter of recommendation
  • A really good portfolio if applying for creative courses

Polimi may be considered cost-effective for Indian students but not really free. The tuition is applicable for these students. 

The first year tuition fee at Polimi for Indian students is INR 4.09L. It is same for all areas of studies under MS. And as the total cost of an MS degree at this institution can range anywhere between INR 9.06 L and 9.3 L.

Indian students who want to apply for MS programs at Politecnico Di Milano, they should meet all the admission requirements. One of them is the GPA requirement which is about 7.0 on a scale of 10.0. Given below are the guidelines for the same - 

  • This translates to 2.5 to 3.0 plus GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • The 70% is the baseline for most of the programs the competitive programs (like Engineering) need a better GPA.

Yes, for most MA programs, knowledge of the English language is required as those are English-taught. Given below are the guidelines for the same, take a look - 

  • The students would require an IELTS score of 6.5+ to be able to apply to this university. 
  • Applicants can also go for the TOEFL iBT to prove their language proficiency.

Letter of motivation or SOP or personal essay is an optional document to be submitted at Polimi. Its recommended to submit one for better chances of selection. The university asks its students to write 2 different motivation letters if they are applying to 2 courses and these should be of 2 pages each max. and submit in pdf form

Its not mandatory to submit LORs to Polimi but its still recommended by the university to improve your chances of being positively evaluated. The letter should be  written by a current or former professor with their contact info. Letter by your manager or employer might also be accepted

You might be required to submit proof of B2 level Italian at Polimi before completing your program. This can be done by taking a TOL or TOLC-I with a score of minimum 30/100
