A Polytechnic course after 10th is mostly a 3 year Diploma program that's given by many government and private Polytechnic colleges approved by AICTE. You can pick engineering diplomas like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Electronics or go for non-engineering ones like Hotel Management, Fashion Design or Pharmacy.

Yes polytechnic is really a nice option after 10th class. You can start learning job skills early and go for many Diploma courses in Polytechnic if you want a technical career. These diploma programs mostly teach more of practical things in engineering, technology, applied science and also in creative sides like hotel management or fashion designing. After you finish the diploma you can join job directly or you can go for higher study like B.Tech or BCA or maybe B.Sc too if you want more growth in career later.
