Design is the best and the oldest design institute of India which offers M.Des/B.Des in 20 different streams of design. Please check www.nid.edu for detailed information about 20 streams. After NID, you have lot of other good institutes like IDC, IITB, and other IITs and IISc Bangalore, but they are all in a tech institute campus. The best part about NID is, that it's a design dedicated institute. NID recently got ranked among top 30 design schools in the world.

Totally depends on whether you want to go for a job or opt for higher studies. If you really feel that you are ready to step into a new phase of life then go for job. But make sure that you are mentally prepared for the coming situations. I'm saying this because many people decide to do job after graduation and after working for a year or so they switch back to study Masters degree so as to get a better job with better salary package, which is a waste of time.
