It is uncommon to teach python in B.Tech course. The main aim of most engineering colleges to make it's student marketable after completing the 4 years here. In B. Tech, you will be taught C in 1st year. Java or C+ in 2nd or 3rd year to understand the object oriented technique (method), and not the language itself.

Python is machine learning programming language, whereas PHP is used for web development. Select the area in which you want to work and then select the Languages which will benefit you in your field. Considering machine learning to expand in future then I'd say Python is much better. If you want to learn Python from beginning then you can use this app:

The life of any Programming Language is limited. When a new and better programming languages hits the market, the stability of old programming language begins to be unstable after a period of time. So, you can't rely on one particular language that will work for a century. Therefore Python's future is also just like any other Language.

Hello Dev,If you are interested in Python language, then definitely there is a scope to become a good programmer. Currently, python is one of the programming languages which is in demand. So work hard and get hands on it. If you are master in any programming language, you will become competitor in IT industry. According to me, if you crack CPT you can go for CA. But to crack it, economics is essential. All the best.

Go for HP, APTECH or NIIT. They have good staff and they provide enough resources for practical. Also, just don't try to learn every possible language and try to learn just one or two but with excellence. That will really help shaping your career. Once u get grasp of one language, learning a new language is just learning the syntaxes, rest all follow same logic.
