The requirement to join the B.Tech programme at RCC Institute of Information Technology Kolkata is a pass in 10+2 examination with 60 percent of marks for general Category and 55 percent for reserved categories. Candidates must have also taken Physics, Mathematics and any of the following – Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology as core subjects. Also, candidates must have appeared for joint entrance examination WBJEE or JEE Main clearance with the rank preference standard of 10000 in general or reserved category 20000. About 80-90% get admission through WBJEE and rest 10-20% gets admission through JEE Main.

The companies which recruit mostly are; TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and cognizant favouring mostly the Computer science, Information technology and Electronics and communication engineering students. The institute has been providing placement to more than 90 percent of its students and about 70-80 percent of them gets selected in various IT industries. Admission for B.Tech courses is done through the counselling process conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). And you need to secure a rank in either West BengalJEE or JEE Mains to attain counselling conducted by WBJEE Board

RCC Institute of Information Technology (Kolkata) shall offer admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. RCCIIT Kolkata admissions shall merit entry from the National-level entrance tests. In order to get into the RCCIIT Kolkata B.Tech programme, a candidate must sit for the JEE Main/WBJEE examination and secure a valid score.
