The first-year applicants applying to Fall semester to Rutgers-Newark are considered for merit-based scholarships. To receive the merit scholarship, awarded students must accept their offer of admission no later than the specified deadline. These merit scholarships are not transferable internally or from school to school or any other campuses of the university.

- Students who applied for Rutgers University must be humble and should interact with as many people as possible. Mainly beacause, the more people you talk to the better knowledge you get.
- Attend as many gathering and parties as much as you can.
- Applicants should avoid missing classess, as 70% of learning comes from students going to classes.
- Students can get invovlved with extracuricular activities, i.e joing university clubs, sports etc. This will also look good on a portfolio in the longer run.

Rutgers University is surely a good option for international students mainly beacuse of a diverse range of excellent academic programs as it provides 50 graduate programs and 40 undergraduate programs.
