This can be demonstrated by completion of high-school required subjects, academic performance in high school, SAT or ACT scores (if applicable), English proficiency exam results (when required). The high school GPA requirements at Rutgers University – Newark campus vary by school and college. At the very least, candidates require a GPA of 3.1+ to get into Rutgers University. Candidates are required to have above average high school grades as this will enhance your chances of getting into Rutgers. With an acceptance rate of 68%, one has a good chance to secure admission to Rutgers University.

Rutgers University – Newark is one of the many campuses of Rutgers University and is located in the largest state in the city.  Rutgers University has three regional campuses located in New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden. The campus of Rutgers University has 31 buildings, with 38 acres of beautiful landscaped open spaces with an urban vibe.

US News has ranked Rutgers - New Brunswick in the top 20 national universities in US for 2022-23. It has been ranked #19, a slight move from #23 from last year. While Rutgers - Newark was at no. 53, it has also moved upwards and among the top 100 public universities in the US. For social mobility, Rutgers-Newark was ranked in the top 10 of national universities at #7 while Rutgers-New Brunswick #63. Since 2019, U.S. News has factored in the school’s success at promoting social mobility by measuring the success of students who received Federal Pell Grants.

Below are the requirments for Master's in Computer Science at Rutgers University

  • 3 LOR: Some MS programs ask for a LOR, with particular exceptions. However, Rutger University strictly doesn’t accept Duplicate letters.

According to bloomberg 2021 ranking, Rutgers was ranked 37th in the united states. However, in 2022, the ranking slightly dropped at 52. Coming to Financial Times ranking, the university was placed 86th in 2021, improving the range to 69 drastically. In the QS Global MBA rankings, Rutgers fell within the scope of 121-130 in 2021 and 151-200 in 2022 and 2023. While you can see the graph of the ranking being fluctuate it is suggested to assess the university not just according to the ranking but also check the 360 of the university for better understanding. However, check out the below table.

  • Last/Family/Surname

  • Middle name

  • First/Given name 

  • Other names ( any other name that may appear on your supporting materials)

A copy passport depends on who will accommodate you at Rutgers. 

Grade Point Average (GPA) 

Most international applicants will not have a grade point average GPA that is based on the 4-point scale used in the united states. GPA information is used for statistical purposes, and your transcripts will clarify academic achievement.

Rutgers University offers the International Chancellor’s Scholarship of up to USD 15,000 to non-sponsored students. International UG applicants meet admission requirements. Below will be getting scholarships: 

     Rutger Undergraduate Scholarships for international students 

  • SAT scores between 1060-1190 or ACT scores between 21-24 can receive scholarships of USD 2000 ( total scholarship of USD12,000: USD 6,000 per semester)
