The residence halls at Rutgers University Newark are furnished with basic amenities. Things like TV, computer, and decorations will give a homely touch. Note that linens are not furnished by the university. Students can bring sheets, pillows, blankets, pillowcase, towels, etc. Also, bring some 6-7 pairs of casual wear, heavy winter jacket, formal outfits, comfortable shoes, umbrella or raincoat, toiletries and personal care, etc.

Rutgers Newark has a support service provided by the Rutgers University Police Department. These services are available to walk with students anywhere on campus, anytime. To get any guard for safety services, students are required to call an extension of the university. Also, note that to ensure the safety of students on campus, emergency phones, identified with a blue light, are located throughout the campus.

Yes, the Psychology Department at Rutgers-Newark offers a two-year graduate programme leading to an MA program.
