San Francisco State University does not mandate the submission of ACT and SAT scores for their UG programs. However, students are recommended to submit the scores for the relevant subject areas regardless to maximise their chances of admission to SFSU.

The probability of getting into SFSU with a 2.5 GPA is low as the minimum cumulative GPA requirement is 3 on the 4 scale pointer. The GPA needs to be significantly higher than the specified limit to increase the probability of selection because the university has a high admission rate and competition. Additionally, scholastic standing, test results, English language skills, and class rank all play equally important parts in the admissions process. Students must provide equal importance to each factor to improve their selection chances.

Yes. San Francisco State University accepts international students from all over the world. As per the fall 2022 data, the university enrolled 980 international students, representing 3.7% of the total students on the campus. The university follows an easy approach while enrolling students in UG or PG programs. However, this does not imply that the university selects every candidate applying for admission. Factors, such as academic scores, English language requirements, essays, extracurricular activity participation, and standardized test scores are crucial.
