The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized test (entrance type) condcuted by collegeboard. The SAT exam is a common gateway for many applicants across the globe to get admission in UG/PG courses.  SAT score is accepted universities/ colleges in the USA, Canada, UK and Australia. If a candidate is junior taking the SAT for the first time, any score is a good score because it gives the valuable information about the academic areas that candidate need to work on. However, focus on improving those areas and take the SAT again. SAT India Exam Dates 2024: March 9, May 4, and June 1, August 24, October 5, November 2, and December 7, 2024. Registrations are open for March, May and June 2024 exam. The last date to apply for SAT India March Session 2024 was February 23, 2024. For May Session, it is April 19, 2024.

Yes, Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (TSLAS) accepts SAT India scores. Applicants with an SAT score of 1260 or higher can apply for a Personal Interaction without taking the online test. 

TSLAS also considers an applicant's performance in the following areas:

  • Class 10th and Class 12th: minimum score of 60% or 6 CGPA
  • SAT scores 

All students must meet the minimum requirement of 60% and above total marks in High School Diploma (10+2).

No, getting admission to the Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences' B.Sc. programs is probably not going to be possible with just a 75 percentile in SAT India exam.

  • A score of 1200+ (90+ percentile) on the SAT will increase the weight given to your application overall, especially for competitive programs like the B.Sc. programs in Economics, Mathematics, and Psychology.

Admission to B.Sc. programs is determined by the following selection process:

  • Applicants must be eligible and submit their applications using the common application form of Thapar Institute.
  • After that, admission is decided upon by merit and prepared using the following weighting:
    40% of the marks for PCM/PCB in Class 12.
    Scores on the TIET Law School Admission Test (LSAT) are given 40% weight.
    The overall academic profile is given 20% weight.
