The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized test (entrance type) condcuted by collegeboard. The SAT exam is a common gateway for many applicants across the globe to get admission in UG/PG courses.  SAT score is accepted universities/ colleges in the USA, Canada, UK and Australia. SAT Score are also accepted by  some (approx 20) private colleges and universities. The SAT 2024 exam is ongoing in india, it will be conducted in multiple sessions. If a candidate is junior taking the SAT for the first time, any score is a good score because it gives the valuable information about the academic areas that candidate need to work on. However, focus on improving those areas and take the SAT again. If the aspirants is senior applying to college, a good score depends on in which college the aspirant is applying and what the rest of the application says about the curriculuar scores (like your GPA, your extracurricular, and your personal essay, etc.)  Typically, universities’ websites mention a range of scores that they typically select a majority of their class. This range is a good indicator of score that meets that university’s criteria.

Admission to B.Sc. programs is determined by the following selection process:

• Applicants must be eligible and submit their applications using the common application form of Thapar Institute.
• After that, admission is decided upon by merit and prepared using the following weighting:
  40% of the marks for PCM/PCB in Class 12.
  Scores on the TIET Law School Admission Test (LSAT) are given 40% weight.
  The overall academic profile is given 20% weight.
• Regarding the required minimum SAT score, TIET-LS cutoff or minimum score is 1260 for SAT India exams.
• On the other hand, if you took the SAT and scored well, that will undoubtedly improve your overall academic record. Gaining admission to Thapar LS for a B.Sc. programme can be facilitated by an estimated SAT score of 1200+.
