Candidates who have passed a four-year Science / Architecture / Engineering / Design graduation from UGC-approved institution or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for Reserved Class category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) are eligible to apply for School of Design, MIT WPU MDes programme. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

Candidates who have completed Class 12 in any stream with English as a compulsory subject with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for Reserved Class category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) are eligible to apply for BDes course at School of Design, MIT WPU. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

Students who are selected for the scholarship at School of Design, MIT WPU also need to fulfill specific criteria to continue the scholarship. To continue the scholarship for the entire duration of the course, a minimum level of the academic score has to be maintained at an 8 CGPA across all semesters. Students must also maintain an attendanceof a minimum of 80% and there should be no disciplinary action against the student.

The eligibility criteria for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program at the School of Design, MIT WPU, are as follows:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. For students from reserved categories in Maharashtra, the minimum requirement is 45%.
Entrance Exam: Applicants need to qualify for the UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) or the MIT WPU entrance test.
