The UGC NET Exam dates for the December month is out the exam is from 18 Dec 2018. Environmental Science is a major subject of National Eligibility test. You can get the question paper in any of the leading publication (the latest one) like Arihant or any other books of your respective subject. And if any of your friend has appeared for the recent NET July 2018 exam then you can ask for him or her with the help of his roll number and application number.

Arts side is better if you wish to prepare for IAS. As this side will give you some subjects that would compliment you in the IAS paper too. But you could take up Science as well, totally up to your interests. I have heard and observed that Science people clear IAS easily as they get used to of studying a lot with the Science curriculum.
