First of all the Agriculture course is based on practical knowledge. If you are thinking that you will gain knowledge in these 4 years, then you are highly mistaken. Because Bookish knowledge will never help you once you start working in the field. Indian agriculture education system is still teaching some rough techniques which are not been practiced in the field because most of the chemicals are banned in the field. Agriculture colleges should emphasize actual practical knowledge rather than assignments. If you want to gain actual field knowledge, I would suggest you please go to the industrial training in agriculture companies during college vacations or semester break. This will be help you to learn practical knowledge. Exams, assignments, reports, viva, practical etc. Are important but practical knowledge are more important than bookish knowledge. Sorry may be I am disappointing you but this is the real scenario.
