Agriculture is a broad-based course with great potential. It deals with things like food production, horticulture, animal rearing, rural economy and rural development, environmental health, etc. In fact, the development in technology, research, and innovation has multiplied the scope of agriculture in a big way. After graduation or post-graduation in agriculture, there are ample opportunities in teaching, research and transfer of technology areas in ICAR, State Agricultural Universities, State Departments of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and NGOs. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts an annual competitive examination for recruitment in the Indian Forest Services, for which one of the educational qualifications required is Bachelors degree in Agriculture so you can explore in any field. Competitive Exams : Graduate in B.Sc. Agriculture, like any other graduate is eligible to appear job exams in Banking, Defence, UPSC, SSC and many more organisations. Besides, there are exclusive exams only for agriculture graduates (IBPS AO, FCI, AIC, IIFCO, NSCI etc.).
Campus Placements : Many reputed companies visit agriculture colleges or universities for recruiting B.Sc. Agriculture students under campus placement programme. So from this is very clear that Agriculture courses have great potential in terms of employment, Research and teaching areas. B.Sc. (Hons. ). In Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry are the some famous UG courses and the admission in these courses are done through the ICAR AIEEA UG entrance exam.

You have not write about the college/university name from where you wish to pursue the M.Sc. Genetics course. However, the eligibility criteria of DU's is given below for reference please.
Eligibility criteria of M.Sc. Genetics: A student seeking admission of M.Sc. (Genetics) must have passed B.Sc. (General) or B.Sc. (Hons. ). Or an equivalent undergraduate degree in any branch of life sciences / physical sciences / chemical sciences / mathematical sciences / medical sciences / pharmacology / any branch of biology / paramedical sciences with at least 60% marks in their main subject (for Hons. Stream) or in aggregate (for B.Sc. General) or other equivalent undergraduate degree. Those appearing for their final year exams can also appear for the entrance test, but they will have to produce the provisional certificate of results by the end of July of the concerned year. So from above B.Sc. BZC course is falling under the Life Science stream. Hence, you are eligible for pursuing the M.Sc. Genetics course.
