A food technologist is also known as the food scientist who works in the food processing industry and helps in developing healthy, high nutrition, and convenient food products. With increasing health consciousness, people are looking for food which is healthy and contains less fat. In order to fulfill CG PAT 2018 eligibility criteria, candidates should meet the below-mentioned parameters:Candidates should be Indian citizens. Candidates should have state domicile of Chhattisgarh. Candidates should clear Class XII from Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) or Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) or any other recognised board of Chhattisgarh. Candidates should clear Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences/ Agricultural Science and Agricultural Mathematics/ Crop Production and Horticulture as mandatory subjects. For DGS-approved courses viz DNS leading to degree(Applied Nautical Science), degree(Nautical Science), degree(Maritime Science) & B.Tech (Marine Engineering), there should not be any degree of squint or any morbid condition of eyes or of the eyelids that is liable to aggravate or recur, pressure of trachoma and iris complication sequel. Candidates must possess good binocular vision (Fusion faculty and a full field of vision in both eyes). Movement of the eyeballs must be full in all directions and the pupils should react normally to light and accommodation.
Candidates joining DNS, degree(Nautical Science) & degree (Maritime Science) degree course colour vision shall (unaided 1.0 (6/6) in better eye and 0.67 (6/9) in other eye. Normal Colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara test chart. In case of candidates joining B.Tech. (Marine Engineering) degree course, distance vision (unaided 0.5 (6/12) in each eye or 0.67 (6/9) in better eye and 0.33 (6/18) in other eye. Normal colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara test chart.

1. Preference is given to Environmental Science Postgraduates in Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)/State PCBs for the post of Assistant Environmental Officers.

2. As Environmental Officer in industries (Effluent Treatment Plants ETP). With a good salary after some experience.
3. Jobs in Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) in municipalities.
4. You can start your own Environmental Consultancy Services with relevant advisors.
5. As with any science stream you can go for further research. Institutes like IISc, ATREE (Bangalore), NEERI (Nagpur) offer research opportunities. Clearing UGC NET makes you eligible for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship).
6. Clearing UGC NET after PG makes you eligible for lectureship in universities, affiliated colleges
There is a huge spectrum of opportunities that are lying by the preferred subject.
Nowadays more pressure is put and more and more opportunities are been given for those who are in the field of environmental science and this subject is one of the basic and necessitated subject for the great and good prospect of mankind.
Just sitting there and asking about the prospects of the subject matter in my accordance is not so well
If at all you are aspiring and keen or interested in that particular subject then why not practically just go on and see yourself its applications, where and how it has been implicated and how it is used, likewise.
Watch your surroundings and try to understand the nature and how it changes by the day, if you are just sitting in there and waiting for answers, for a question like this, I think it's just a waste of time.
