Based on the reviews provided, the teachers at this college have a very good teaching method. Every student loves the way the teachers teach, and the courses make students independent. There is a good crowd, a good campus, and a good scholarship package. Almost 99% of the students get placed in the college.

SRM College of Occupational Therapy was started in the academic year 1996 under the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. In 2004, the college was brought under the ambit of SRM University, and in the same year, a postgraduate program was started. SRM College is the only occupational therapy college to offer BOT, MOT, and PhD programs in Tamil Nadu. There is an entrance exam conducted by SRM through which you will get admission in MPT courses. Minimum 55% aggregate of marks or a CGPA of 5.5 in qualifying examination is required. The candidates must have also passed the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) Degree or equivalent (4 years + 6 months of compulsory internship on or before 31st May of that academic year) from a UGC recognised University in India (on campus full time program).

To eligible for BPT you should have 50% in 12th standard along with that Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology with above mentioned marks. Candidates who studied abroad should possess equivalent qualification as determined by Association of Indian Universities with above mentioned marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany & Zoology are eligible.
