SSC CPO Tier 1 is not qualifying in nature. The marks secure by candidates in this stage are considered for the final merit list. The total marks allotted to the Tier 1 exam are 200. Questions are asked from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, English, and Quantitative Aptitude. There are also negative marking for wrong answers in the exam. 0.25 marks are deducted for wrong answers in the exam. For correct answer, candidates score one mark. The total marks of Tier 1 are calculated based on the correct and incorrect responses.

The merit list for the SSC CPO 2024 Tier 1 Exam is prepared based on candidates’ performance in the CBT and in accordance with reservation rules. It will include the roll numbers of candidates who qualify for the PST and PET. The PET/PST is qualifying in nature. Candidates qualifying the PET/PST are called for Paper 2 exam. The final merit list is prepared based on the performance in the Paper 1 and 2 subject to the candidates qualifying the PET/PST, document verification and medical exam.

SSC CPO Tier 1 result 2024 was announced on September 2, 2024. The result was made available in PDF form and comprise the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Separate result PDFs are made available for male and female candidates. SSC CPO result PDF is made available on the official website-ssc.gov.in. Candidates qualifying the Paper 1 exam of SSC CPO are called for PET/PST. The Paper 1 exam of SSC CPO comprised questions from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, English, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the exam are 200.

- For the wrong answer, 0.25 marks were deducted as a penalty
