Indian students can pay their dues in installments at SUNY New Paltz. This can be done by enrolling in a Time Payment Plan. The plan allows students to pay their dues in 3 to 5 monthly installments over a semester.
An enrollment fee worth USD 30 (INR 2.85 K) applies to enrol in the same. Consult one of our Shiksha Study Abroad counsellors to know more or check newpaltz.edu

- Easily find alumni advisors
- Request career advice
- Review resumes
- Schedule mock interviews

SUNY New Paltz application fee for UG courses is USD 50 (INR 4.75 K). For PG courses, the application fee is USD 60 (INR 5.7 K). The fee is non-refundable and can be paid via the Common App or ApplySUNY.
SUNY New York New Paltz does not offer application fee waivers. However, the waiver request may be considered for students who can demonstrate financial need or enrolling in a programme that qualifies for a waiver.

Yes, students are allowed to change their major at SUNY New Paltz. To do that, they need to contact their academic advisor to consult about a change of major. Students should also contact the chair of department they wish to join. The university may request for a Declaration/Change of Major form.
Students need to make sure they meet the entry requirements of the programme they're seeking.

The university does not offer degree courses during the Summer or Winter intakes. However, students can take accelerated courses during this period to meet the general entry requirements or get ahead in their major.
Maximum 12 credits can be taken during Summer. As for the winter intake, 3 credits can be taken. To know more on how to enrol in a course in either period, students can refer the official SUNY New Paltz website.

No, the State Uni of New York in New Paltz is not a Division I school. It's 15 varsity sports teams compete as part of the NCAA Division III. This means, student-athletes have to rely on academic scholarships to cover tuition costs at the university.
However, students get a more balanced academic-sporting experience. Sports seasons are shorter. This allows students to spend more time on academics, internships, and studying abroad.
