1. Secure an Unconditional Offer & Receive CAS
   First, apply to a course at a UK university or college that is a licensed student sponsor and receive an unconditional offer. Once you accept the offer (and pay any required deposit), the institution will provide you with a unique Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) reference number. This number is essential for your visa application and is valid for six months.
2. Prepare Required Documents and Funds
   Gather all the necessary documentation to prove your eligibility:
   • A current, valid passport.
   • Your CAS number.
   • Proof of funds: You must show you have enough money to cover your first year's tuition fees and living expenses. The current requirements are a minimum of £1,334 per month for courses in London and £1,023 per month for courses outside London, for up to nine months. These funds must have been held in your bank account for at least 28 consecutive days.
   • English language proficiency: Evidence, usually a Secure English Language Test (SELT) like IELTS, is required, unless your university has accepted an alternative form of proof (e.g., strong English scores in high school).
   • Tuberculosis (TB) test certificate: This is mandatory for applicants from many countries, including India. You must take the test at an approved clinic.
   • Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate: Required for certain sensitive subjects and research degrees. Your university will inform you if this is needed.
   • Parental consent: If you are under 18, you will need written consent from your parents or legal guardians.
3. Complete the Online Application and Pay Fees
   Apply for the Student visa online through the official UK government website.
   • Visa fee: The application fee is £524.
   • Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS): You must pay this as part of your application to access the UK's National Health Service (NHS). The student rate is currently £776 per year of your course duration.
4. Book and Attend Biometrics Appointment
   After submitting your online application and paying the fees, you will be directed to book an appointment at a local 
   VFS Global Visa Application Centre (VAC)
   . At the appointment, you will:
   • Submit your supporting documents (originals and copies).
   • Have your fingerprints and photograph (biometric information) taken.
   • May be required to attend a short "credibility interview" to confirm your intentions to study in the UK.
5. Receive a Decision and eVisa Access
   You will typically receive a decision within 3 weeks if applying from outside the UK. If successful, you will receive an email notification and instructions on how to access your digital immigration status (eVisa) by creating a UKVI account. You must access your eVisa before travelling to the UK.

The decision on an application for a Canadian study permit will completely be based on one's individual application package. Usually good academic record ( especially marks of last major degree) , proper course selection (preferably showing progression in same field) consistent profile, sufficient proof of funding and a decent IELTS score and showing strong ties to your home country is seen as a standard benchmark to get the Canadian study permit. There may be more requirements, depending upon the citizenship of one's country.
Consistent profile and academic record is one of most important factors, Visa officers consider while issuing a study permit, since you have decent Marks in B.Tech. and did not lag a year. there should be no problems. Is 82.28% in final year of B.tech? Most Canadian universities need atleast B grade or minimum 60%-65% (depending on the university) in final 2 years of a 4 years Bachelor's degree for students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria etc. and an IELTS score of 6.5 overall (with no bands less than 6)(some top grade universities may require IELTS score of overall 7)/ equivalent score of TOEFL also accepted in most universities for being eligible to apply to Master degree programs. What's your aggregate score in final 2 years of your B.Tech? To maximize your chances you should apply for a Master degree or atleast a PG level certificate course in your field/ related field of study. But, mind you.applying to PG certificate courses won't guarantee visa and at same time. applying to lower level diplomas, especially in reputed colleges in your area of study. won't mean sure rejection. as there have been cases where bachelor's/,master's degree holder from India do get approved visa for lower level diploma courses. and those even applying to PG courses get rejection! So it really depends on individual cases. and academic record plays a big role. but generally. to have higher chances of visa. one can apply for PG courses. get visa.and if they wish, then move to diploma courses. And honestly, each case differs.it also depends on your luck. If the visa officer notices the backlogs and take it seriously and relate it to inconsistent academic performance, then it MAY be a cause for concern. otherwise no issues.
