- Incorrect calculation of denominator – An error which comes up quite frequently is the division of marks secured by an incorrect number. Suppose that your marks are 45 out of 60. Just because it's 45, it doesn't mean your percentage is 45%. Rather it is the number divided by maximum marks obtainable.
