The top countries which offer free or zero tuition fee or very affordable education for Indians are:
- Germany: Most public universities charge no tuition fees for undergraduate and master's programs. Students only pay a small semester administrative fee (around €150–€350).
- Norway: Public universities offer 100% free education for all students, doesn't matter where you are from. A small semester registration fee is required.
- Austria: Non EU students pay very low tuition fees typically around €730 per semester which is significantly less than in other popular study destinations.
- Czech Republic: Education is free in public universities

All international students require USA student visa to study at university. The student visas are segregated into F1 and J1 visas. J1 visa allow students to engage in academic and cultural exchange activities. International students applying for j-1 visa must have sponsorship.
F1 visa is for full-time study in USA. One must possess Form I20, Certificate of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant Student Status. F1 visa student fee is USD 185.

To get admission in MS in Health Informatics course in Canada, Indian students must complete UG education from a valid university. UG course should be in Computer Science, Data Science, or relevant subjects.

India had around 1,241 students at Columbia, by Fall 2024, the second the largest international community of students, behind only China (6,463). Of these, around 72 were enrolled in UG, 1,153 in graduate, and 16 in non-degree courses at Columbia Uni.

Not if you go by their overall university rankings. While both rank in and around the top 10 universities in the country, Harvard (#2) ranks well ahead of Columbia (#10), in national level rankings, given by Shiksha.
Though Harvard offers more course options, and overall brand recognition, Columbia is considered by many as the better of the two for its Engineering courses, something Harvard is not known for.
