UM Dearborn application fee for Indian students is USD 60 (INR 5.75 K) for PG students. There is no application fee for UG students.

The university also offers limited application fee waivers on a first-come, first-serve method, to students who meet the conditions mentioned below:

  • Yet to pay the application fee
  • Current Fulbright or McNair Scholar with award letter
  • Current student at UM Dearborn
  • Attend an eligible recruitment event
  • From a country with SWIFT banking sanctions in place

Students can use the online UM-Dearborn application portal and submit a Graduate Application Fee Waiver Request Form to avail the same.

Scholarship deadlines at UMich Dearborn varies for different financial aid programs. The last date to apply for most international merit-based UG scholarships is Nov 15, 2026.

No, GRE and GMAT scores are not generally not required for admission at UM Dearborn. The university uses a test-optional policy for most UG and PG courses.

The admissions committee uses a 'holistic approach' to evaluate students. Students are judged based on their overall academic performance, SOP, and relevant work experience.

The committee does reserve the right to ask for GRE or GMAT scores if they need additional information about a student's readiness for entry at Uni Michigan Dearborn.

Yes, students can transfer to Uni Michigan-Dearborn. To do that, they need to complete a transfer application on UM Dearborn application portal. There is no maximum limit to the number of credits that can be transferred which were completed with a minimum grade of "C".

The provided bachelor's degree is considered equivalent to an Australian bachelor's degree. Apart from this, Indian students must submit Resume/CV, proof of English language requirement (IELTS- 6.5 | TOEFL - 79 | PTE - 60 | CAE – 176), academic transcripts, statement of purpose, financial proof, and copy of passport.
