In 2024 Cornell University received about 16,800 applications from prospective international students, of which 588 students were admitted to the Cornell University campus grounds.  In the end, almost 400 students enrolled. This means that the Cornell University acceptance rate stands at a mere 3.49% for international students.

As an Indian student meet the requirements given below to be eligible for an F1 visa.

  • Get an I-20 from an SEVP recognised University
  • Agree to return to home country after studies
  • Demonstrate English proficiency

The OPT allows you to gain work experience after your studies. It is usually awarded for 12 months with a possible extension upto 24 months for STEM graduates.

The CPT is a work authorization, granted to students, during the course of their studies. The CPT can be both part time and full time, with average duration being around 20 work hours per week
