The university follows a trimester-based academic calendar, thereby accepting students for spring, fall and summer. Students need to be very prompt with the submission of their application forms.
As an international student, you need to fill in the application form three to four months before and submit all the documents within the deadline.

Most academic departments will ask for an IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) for undergraduate degrees and IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) for postgraduate degrees but there are exceptions and you should always check the individual entry requirements on our course pages, or check the conditions included in your offer letter.

Swansea University stands among the top 30 universities in the UK. The applicant should meet the minimum eligibility requirements as the University Council decides. The university has an acceptance rate of around 14% for international students. (the acceptance rate is taken from unofficial sources) though it might vary from course to course.
Compared to other universities, Swansea University in South Wales has an effective application procedure. Furthermore, it has a better acceptance rate for different programs than other universities.

Swansea University provides the benefit of tracking the progress of your application. On applying to the university, you will receive a unique reference number that you can use to keep a check on your application. If you haven't uploaded your complete application, you will have a month for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
You will hear from the university only when you submit your application properly. A departmental tutor will look into your application and revert with the decision. Students who have applied online will receive regular email updates stating the stage at which your application is.
