The university follows a trimester-based academic calendar, thereby accepting students for spring, fall and summer. Students need to be very prompt with the submission of their application forms.

As an international student, you need to fill in the application form three to four months before and submit all the documents within the deadline.

Please refer to the tentative deadlines given below:

Most academic departments will ask for an IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) for undergraduate degrees and IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) for postgraduate degrees but there are exceptions and you should always check the individual entry requirements on our course pages, or check the conditions included in your offer letter.

Swansea University provides the benefit of tracking the progress of your application. On applying to the university, you will receive a unique reference number that you can use to keep a check on your application. If you haven't uploaded your complete application, you will have a month for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

You will hear from the university only when you submit your application properly. A departmental tutor will look into your application and revert with the decision. Students who have applied online will receive regular email updates stating the stage at which your application is.

These questions are always hard to answer because pretty much nobody will have studied at all of the universities mentioned. And I know almost nothing about Computer Science*. However, I could give you my first reactions to each based on some years of working in graduate recruitment and well, blind prejudice and (reputation), so here goes:
Bath: Clever students
Loughborough: Sporty students
Liverpool: Clever students, but lots of scousers
Glasgow: Clever Scottish students
Queen Mary: Londoners and foreigners
Cardiff: Party, party!
Lancaster: Northern students
Exeter: Posh students not clever enough to get into Oxford or Cambridge.
