Swansea University generally does not set fixed dates for applying since most the undergraduate and postgraduate courses follow the rolling admissions model. Still, Indian students are requested to apply much in advance because the first application round via UCAS for undergrad courses is up by 31st January for preferred programmes and accommodations.

Getting a part-time job for a student at Swansea University is not that difficult due to the location of this university in a student-friendly city with a lot of employment opportunities. Many jobs are available on campus itself, such as in cafeterias, libraries, and administrative work, or some students find off-campus part-time jobs in retail, hospitality, and customer service, among others. The University's Career Development Centre aids in finding part-time jobs.
