According to the given table, Swansea University has a better ranking than Aston University. However, Aston University is the only university showing an improvement in THE rankings over the years.

Yes, studying at Swansea University is considered to be expensive for international students. The tuition fee for UG, PG and Advanced master programs is as follows:

Swansea University is ranked #34 at national level and #206 at global level by Shiksha Popularity Rankings. QS World University rankings 2026 are #292 whereas 2025 rankings were #97, indicating a decline. THE Rankings are #301 in 2025 and #251 in 2024, again indicating a decline. This could be possible due to various factors. Apart from this, US News and World Report ranked the university #427 in 2025, 2024 rankings were #439, showing a positive increase in graph.

Swansea University is doing pretty well in both UK and global rankings lately.
Global Rankings:
In the QS World University Rankings 2026, Swansea is ranked 292nd in the world — their best ever!
In the Times Higher Education (THE) global ranking, it falls in the 251–300 range.
US News ranks it a bit lower at #439 globally.
So globally, it's considered a solid mid-tier university, especially improving in re
cent years.

Both Bournemouth & Swansea University are considered part of the best institutions in the UK, thus it's not surprsing to know that both these institutions are selective to varying extents at granting admissions to students.
The Bournemouth University acceptance rate stands at around 50%, while that of Swansea University is around 14%, suggesting Swansea is relatively much harder to secure admissions at as comapred to Bournemouth. Though it must be noted that Swansea (#35) is rated higher than Bournemouth University (#59) as part of the latest Shiksha Popularity Rankings.
