To get a seat at Tamil Nadu National Law University for various UG and PG-level law courses, students have to first appear for the CLAT entrance exam and then sit for the counselling process to be considered eligible for admission to the BA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. 

The TNNLU CLAT cutoff 2026 was released for various All India and Home State quota categories, like General, OBC, SC, etc.

The TNNLU CLAT Cutoff 2026 was released for admission to the BA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB and LLM courses. The cutoff was released for several categories, including the OBC. 

For the OBC AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 2672 to 3889, wherein the BA LLB (Hons) course was the toughest among all the previously mentioned courses. Students can refer to the table below to know the first and last round closing ranks for the available courses.

Yes, TNNLU offers the BCom LLB course. Admissions to this course are based on a valid score in the CLAT exam. Candidates who have passed Class 12 can apply for admission in the same.

No,  Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU), Tiruchirappalli is not under CUET. The universuit accepts the CLAT exam for admission in the various courses offered. Candidates must appear for this exam and achieve a valid aggregate in the same to take admission in Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU), Tiruchirappalli.

Yes, CLAT is compulsory for admission in Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU), Tiruchirappalli. It is the entrance examination conducted by consortium of NLUs for UG and PG courses. All 21 NLU except NLU Delhi take admission by way of CLAT scores in both PG and UG courses.

TNNLU which is one of the best institutes for law admissions has released its Round 1 seat allotment results recently. It accepts CLAT scores to offer courses such LLB for various specialisations. Considering the TNNLU cut off 2025 for the Round 1 seat allotment results, the cutoff for BA LLB (Hons) and B.Com LLB (Hons) stood at 1278 and 1424, respectively, for the General AI category candidates. Similarly, for the Home State quota, the General category cutoff for above mentioned courses stood at 2250 and 3370. For more information related to CLAT General AI quota cutoff, candidates can refer to the table below:

Based on 2024 cutoff it looks like it is unlikely and difficult to get in NLU Trichy. As per the cutoff of 2024 the closing rank under OBC category was 2995, so you might be having some problems while getting into it. There are some other good college available at your rank, so I would suggest you to look for that options also.

A good score in CLAT 2025 for an OBC candidate will be 80-90+ marks. On the other hand, SC and ST candidates can secure a seat in top NLUs with a CLAT 2025 score of 75-85 marks without domicile reservation.

Yes, Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU) accepts CLAT scores for admission to its law courses, including BA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB, BBA LLB at the UG level, and LLM at the PG level. The admission to the courses is solely based on the marks scored in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).The minimum required eligibility to apply for these programmes is a pass at the 10+2 level with a minimum of 45% marks, and a valid CLAT score. The upper age limit is 20 years for unreserved categories, and 22 years for reserved categories.some law schools in India admit students without requiring them to take law entrance exams.
