Getting CSE in any of the campus is difficult but by paying additional tuition fees it can be possible but it is difficult to tell what exactly their demand. But their range is some what around 1-3 Lacs per year.

At my admission time, there was only Vellore and Chennai branch two years ago and these branches are recently opened by VIT. Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000 so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well with each category admission fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank but there are 2nd category as well if you want CSE but you have to pay more for that. Bhopal and Amravati branches are opened recently so the rank to VIT university may go high as expect

The eligibility criteria for VIT-Vellore is a minimum of 60% marks in an undergraduate degree (minimum 3 years duration after 10+2) from a recognised university/institute.
Only the candidates who have studied in regular full-time programmes are eligible to apply.
After applying for the college, you will be called for a written assessment test (WAT) and a personal interview (PI).
The final selection will be made based on the merit list using a composite score with the following components:
Academic Performance
Profile-Work Experience, Awards and Recognition, etc.
WAT & PI score
Management Aptitude Test Score.
Only the candidates who have studied in regular full-time programmes are eligible to apply.

Hello Ssrinishanth, there is no reservation based on caste at SASTRA University and the admission is strictly based on merit. You have good scores and so your chances are higher to get a seat at SASTRA. All the best!
