As per your rank, CSE is beyond your horizon, you may get lower branches there.

As per your rank you will have options of all the branches offered by vit vellore, you can take any one of them.

I'll say VIT is a better option than SRM because VIT provides more exposure and better education when compared to SRM.
Moreover, placements are also good at VIT but for VIT, Vellore campus is most preferred.
If you compare VIT-Chennai, and SRM-Chennai then they are almost same but VIT is quite better than SRM.
