Candidates do not receive any hard copy of the TANCET mark statement by post or email. The mark statement or scorecard is made available only through the official website. Candidates must log in using their credentials to download it. Since no physical copy is sent, it is the candidate's responsibility to save and print the scorecard. This document is important and must be shown during counselling. Without it, candidates may not be allowed to take part in the admission process.

The TANCET scorecard is valid for only one year. This means that the score obtained in TANCET 2025 can be used for admission in the academic year 2025-2026 only. After this period, the score cannot be used for applying to colleges through TANCET. Candidates who want to apply in future years will have to appear for the exam again. It is important for candidates to use their score within the valid period for counselling and admission.

Each year for TANCET exam, two separate rank lists are released. One rank list is for candidates under the Differently Abled category, and the other is for all other candidates. These separate rank lists help ensure fair treatment and proper allocation of seats during counselling. Each candidate will be placed in the appropriate list based on the category they belong to. The rank lists are prepared based on the candidates' scores and are used for the admission process.

TANCET rank lists are declared during the counselling process.

Scoring 70 marks in TANCET is considered very good. Based on previous years' data, a score of 70 or more can place you in the 99th percentile or higher. This high percentile greatly improves your chances of getting into top institutions like Anna University. It shows that you have outperformed most other test-takers, making you a strong candidate for competitive programs. This score can open up many opportunities for you in your desired field.

To calculate the TANCET percentile score using actual marks, follow these steps: First, identify the total number of candidates (N) who took the exam. Next, determine the number of candidates (Y) who scored lower than the candidate in question. Once you have these values, use the formula: Percentile Score = (Y/N) * 100. This formula helps you understand the candidate's relative performance compared to others. For example, if a candidate's score is higher than 300 out of 1000 candidates, the percentile score would be (300/1000) * 100 = 30%. This means the candidate performed better than 30% of the test-takers.
