Yes, you are eligible to appear in CTET 2016 examination being a B.Ed 1st year student. Candidates who have completed Graduation with an aggregate of at least 50% marks from a recognised university and passed or appearing in first year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) course are eligible to appear in CTET 2016 examination.

B.Ed distance education has been stopped by most of the universities for general public. It is now academic degree, not valid for teaching job. Other jobs one can apply. Those who had joined as teacher earlier with out B.Ed can complete by private study or Distance. The government had made regular B.Ed compulsory for all.

Hello,
The process of becoming a lecturer is quite simple. You must have pursued post-graduation to become a lecturer as it is the minimum eligibility criteria. You must have secured minimum 55% aggregate marks in post-graduation. If you meet the above-mentioned criteria, then you are eligible to apply for the UGC NET Exam which is conducted by NTA to select the deserving candidates for lectureship. The exam is conducted twice a year, so you can apply for any of these two sessions to appear in the exam. The syllabus of UGC NET Exam is divided into two Papers I. e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
