As you have done Masters in chemistry you can give CSIR UGC NET exam and not NTA UGC NET exam. CSIR conducts UGC exam for science subjects.

You should get degree in the branch or subject you are interested in teaching, if you are not interested in a particular subject and you are teaching it then it becomes boring for the students and the future of students diminishes.

Hello Anitha, No, you can't. According to UGC NET guidelines, the basic requirement for the exam is candidates have to be post graduated or in the qualifying year of Masters. The applicants should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters to apply for the exam. If you want to apply for JRF NET exam then your age must not be more than 30 years.
