Having an appropriate degree:
- Teaching requires different levels of degree depending upon the level of middle or high school teaching. Primary school teaching requires Ted. (Diploma in teaching education), a 2-year Diploma programme having a 12th pass as a minimum qualification. If this is equivalent to the Diploma you have done, you are eligible to start teaching as a primary school teacher.

Basic eligibility for a candidate to pursue M.Ed from Maharshi Dayanand University is that individual should have minimum 50% pass marks in graduation. Candidate must have completed B.Ed. or any other examination from a recognized University.
Merit Screening:
Admission is based on the marks obtained in graduation.
